Membership is open to those who have graduated from an approved institution of tertiary education and possess a degree or diploma from it.

In 1995, Irish Graduates Association of Singapore (IGAS) started to admit Associate members. These may be of Irish descent or by marriage have attended an education establishment in Ireland or have Irish business/trade links.
IGAS is apolitical and accepts alumni from Universities in Eire as well as Ulster.
There are four types of Membership in the Association. They are:
Life Membership is only applicable to any member who have retired from full-time business activity and occupation, be aged above 65 years and shall have been member of the Association for a continuous period of at least 5 years. A Life member shall have all the rights and benefits of Ordinary Membership and does not be required to pay annual subscription.
Honorary Fellowship is only conferred by the Committee upon any Ordinary or Life Member who has contributed distinguished service to the Association and is entitled to use the designation "Honorary Fellow of the Irish Graduates Association of Singapore (Hon. FIGAS)". Any person conferred with Honorary Fellow shall have all the rights and privileges and benefits of Ordinary Membership. Additionally, he/she shall also have the right to speak and attend meetings of the Committee.
The only differences between Ordinary Member and Associate Member are as follows:

The subscription fee of the aforesaid categories of Membership is S$30.00 per annum; except for Life Membership. Our subscription fee is the lowest among all associations, institutions or societies in Singapore.
Furthermore, we do not charge any entrance fee! Hence, our main objective is not profit seeking but to provide our Members with value-added services.
